Stitch Markers and Ecofriendly Packaging

This week I tought another cute and eco-friendly way to packing up my stitch markers.

I found this Gift Box Bag template, I've printed it on recycled paper, decorate it with my eco logo and here is it, Cute, don't it?

Adesso andiamo ad addormentare il pupo!
A presto, Giusy

Well, it's time to nurse the baby!
Talk to you soon!!

Featuring my alter ego: Poshpiedesigns

It 'amazing how time flies! It 'been a month since last post and I have not even realized it. Obviously my intent to take 1 photo a day has failed miserably, since I stopped in mid-January ... Oh well patience will be for next year, meanwhile I am enjoying my being a full-time mom and this is the greatest thing in the world.

Over the following months my confidence grows and even the rhythms are more precise and scanned with a child must think and act in multi-tasking:)

Although time is very short and waiting to pull out the sewing machine again, I decided to carve out an equally creative moment during the day and that is why I present here my alter ego:

Cosa potete trovare? :) A presto!

What can you find? My cross-stitch patterns baby booties, the stitch markers and some other accessory for people who love to craft. :) Soon!

Knitting time!

*************
2 days remaining... I hoped that my little one decided to be born, but at this point he will respect the due of 15 October.

Meanwhile, besides the babette blanket my mom get involved by me in a knitting project. Since I was a child I have memories of my grandmother who used to give a pair of knitted booties every time there is a birth in the family, so do my aunts and my mom today. Me, my sister and my cousins have a pair of booties made by my grandmother.
Those that she make I never seen around, because with her methods are no seams under the sole even if are made using normal knit needle. This time I hired my mother, who learned from my grandmother, to show me how to make these booties, I wanted to write down the model and now, after having testing and packed a pair of them, I decided to pay homage to my grandmother and share this method with knitters around the world. I made a pattern, for now in English, which will be available on Ravelry and Etsy. Currently, the model is under testing I have commissioned to a Ravelry's Tester, when she will give me the OK, the pattern will be available as .Pdf to download. :) Meanwhile, here's a preview of the cover.

As a proud founder and member of the Etsy Italia Team. For our first team challenge of July was themed on "the seven deadly sins" and each member who's like to partecipate in, was to create an object inspired by this theme. My choose goes on Greed and I have designed and made this cute money wallet.

It is made with 100% japanese linen fabric and lined with 100% american quilt cotton, fully padded with 100% cotton batting, zippered closure to put your money safe :). The $ symbol is hand designed using japanese Pigma Micron pen, and fixed with steamy ironing to control fading.

Measures:

11,5 cm widht x 8,5 cm height
(4-1/2" widht x 3-1/2" height)

*************************************************************

And of course continue the preparations for the newcoming baby :) This morning I finished to make this lovely bib and burb cloth, in soft honeycomb cotton and 100% quilt cotton.

Caldo e nuove creazioni - hot weather and new creation

Fabric Necklace by Le Coccole di Giusy
available at my Etsy

This hot summer is becoming unbearable, with the growing belly I can not do anything. I have however taken advantage of a moment of cool to create this new necklace, entirely made of Ecological materials! In fact there are no metal parts, and apart from the nylon ribbon, the rest are 100% cotton and wood.

Make up make up!

Etsy Italia Team on the go!

Makeup Brush Roll holder -- a lovely way to store your make up brushes

Designed for fans of Makeup, and for those who like me has a lot of brushes for eyeshadow and blush, I thought a nice way to keep them away from dust and carry them easily on the go. The Makeup Brush Roll!

Featured Artist: ArtMind

I know Mitsy of ArtMind when I signed up to the European Street Team on Etsy, but I didn't truly know her until she started the "99 feelings" project.
Day by day, and feeling by feeling, I know more about her and a bit more about me. It was a pleasant journey across our emotions and feelings, and I love each one of those beautiful expression of Art.
I think she is a very Talented Lady, she has the "X factor", and hope she will have the success that she deserve.
Watch this video, and you will be completely amazed, captured, intrigued by this woman and those "little feelings".
Enjoy.

I started my 2009 with Tea and Cupcakes

I started my 2009 with many good intentions personal for me and my family and I have also taken up the good habit of crafting.
Some time ago in this post, I talked about hand carved stamp! I like a lot and I also like them, I enjoy very much. I created these cups and this Cupcake to personalize the card accompanying the Travel Tea Bags, which have their certificate with a theme poem attached.

2008 ended with a great December and I want to thanks for it! I have also always been very careful to spoil the recipient of my creations, and this coming year I want to continue on this road! In fact, I have a give away for those who grab a moleskine's notebook cover at my Dawanda or Etsy: these colorful handmade notebooks combined with moleskine's cover!! Isn't it nice? This you see here is going to a happy customer.

That's all for now!
